Luckily I was on higher ground, but my uncle's house was flooded. He was getting around in a kayak for a while! The thing that affected us was our drinking water becoming contaminated, so the military set those bowsers up around town (Cheltenham) for us to fetch clean water from. It was a really bizarre experience going out to collect water, and then you had some idiots pissing in the bowsers or putting bleach in there... Memorable experience. The emergency services did a really good job :)

i live in tewkesbury and went on my stag do that day up in leicestershire where i'm originally from. It was pandemonium until i got by stratford then it was clear. i got back to this. unreal!!

if only it would of flooded a couple of weeks sooner it wasted like half of my summer holidays and as a kid that sucks lucky it didn't flood my house though i live on a hill :) well put together video 5*

omg the heavy rain and the flooding started just as we left for Dubai... I remember seeing some crazy water on the motorway near Swindon...
