The American artist Roxy Paine (b. 1966) has created a 130-foot-long by 45-foot-wide stainless-steel sculpture, Maelstrom (2009), especially for the Museum's Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden. This is a magnificent installation. I am awestruck by the structural beauty of the stainless sculpture and the brilliant choice of venue for this work. This is a definite MUST SEE. Thank you for this lovely video to better envision the location process.
