im happy i was raised by a singal mother with good taste in music i started listining to everclear when i was 7 and always liked this song but now i have a reason to understand it her name is mary jane

I liked Everclear a lot in high school and I grew out of them very quickly in college onwards. But this song still sticks out as one of their best along with "Loser Makes Good" and "Santa Monica". Still a good song and the lyrics are actually not bad, not as cringe-worthy some of Art's other stuff.

but the same thing could be said of Nevermind.
This era of rock did not last long enough, there is something about modern rock that just puts me off. It has no bounce to it, that's the only way I can describe it. That and the emo subculture that Greenday was oh so happy to sell out to has produced some really dead weight albums. It's not that I just hate emo's, it's just the music is sub par compared to generation X. Maybe we will have an emergence of talent soon. Always can hope.
