Just because a band has a female singer that doesn't growl, DOES NOT make it gothic metal FFS!! I've heard Nightwish, Epica and Leaves' Eyes called gothic and it's bs. Leaves Eyes is symphonic viking/folk metal, Nightwish is symphonic power metal and Epica is plain symphonic metal. Sorry, it just annoys me.

Listening to any kind of music means that you just happen to want to listen to that kind of music. It's hilarious what people try to read into it sometimes. I listen to some metal bands, and people try to make that out as me having anger issues. It sounds good. It's literally that complicated.

I know this nice old lady who lives in my apt complex. She listens to hip hop. Like, sometimes profane stuff. She's still a nice lady. Wish people would stop focusing on dumb shit like that.
