nerja is great! but the sea quality is terrible!!!! there is plenty of raw sewage in evidence:(( depending on time of day, u can see it in the water!! not good:((

The word "guiri" is not an insult.
It's just a friendly popular word for European visitors in Spain.
It's also correct for American tourists, Australian, Canadian, etc

the only problem is nerja does not have a sewage plant and they dump all their sewage just a few km offshore, and they got the money of the European community to build one years ago, by the way there is one word you must learn in Spanish it´s GUIRI that is what they call all foreigner but especially the Brits
