my favourite version of the evergreen DOWNTOWN, sung by someone from the former German Democratic Republic. It is unknown, who the singer is.
This is a test recording from GDR-record-label AMIGA or the National Committee for Radio Broadcasting. They recorded hundreds of people, who claimed to have a good singing voice.
Clip is made out of some shots from a Werner Schroeter film, varied here by myself, trying to learn something about multiple exposures.
