Can't prove wire tapping, hmmmmmmmm. How about the fact that he said he was doing it, and it was Illegal, It's not like there is a lack of evidence here or am I wrong? What about the fact he needed Immunity for the telecoms because they knew what they were doing was Illegal. I must be wrong.

  • Can each state file criminal charges in state court for crimes against the state? Does the president have immunity for breaking state laws?

  • I believe they can but the they would still have to have proof of at least one conversation.

  • What do you think?

  • A couple of quotes to ponder....

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter, and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

    ~Abraham Lincoln

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.

    ~James Madison

  • President George W. Bush will leave an unmistakably conservative imprint on federal courts, one that will be hard to erase because so many of his life appointees to the bench are so young. More than a third of the appointments Bush made to the U.S. Court of Appeals, for example, were under 50 years old at the time of confirmation.

  • I agree with you the potential for abuse is there. But first things first. So what, we hamstring ourselves nd treat terrorists and their sympathers all with American civil rights? I am not as paranoid as you folks on the domestic personal abuse of the tactic but there should be a sunset law.

  • And one other thing, collected information can and will be compromised. Just ask the credit card companies.

  • HMMMM!, what would you be temted to do if you were POTUS and had this kind of power? Would you say, maybe...spy on your political adversaries and blackmail them into submission? Or just maybe...get the sweetest insider information and misuse it to make a killing on the stock markets? Or, perhaps, just keep tabs on what your staff, family, friends or enemies are saying about you?

Nixon was an amateur compared to Bush.

    Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

  • If Keith the shithead Olberman is crying about it it has to be a good idea. No point in watching past the intro. All you who think YOU are the ones that have to be worried about being tapped are fools. Fools. Paranoid deliberate simplifiers and fools

  • class action civil suit against Geprge Bush and NSA
