It was enviable that in European societies that women got more right than women in Asia in general (and in Islamdom in particular), imagine how much more energy can be generated out of such a society? But to call this equality seems an overstatement?

@MingDynasty700 Medieval historians agree that women in Western Christendom were treated essentially as equals with men. It's most certainly not an overstatement, it's just an historical fact that cannot be refuted.

Your quotations fly in the face of popular perspective that women in medieval Europe were terribly discriminated and that somewhat more respectful position of women is a very modern innovation. I also wish to add that besides Latin Europe, Byzantine women also played an important role in society. In fact the more we look into legitimate facts of medieval life we can see that all the western values were somehow present in medieval Christendom.
