Three fights against Opera Elmer (Request by SkieluluMugen)

This was a request by SkieLuLuMUGEN. It wasn't hard, but it was definitely a relief from fighting super cheap characters, and a warm welcome back to making Mugen videos.

Opera Elmer... Ah yes, Elmer fudd in his ever so classic warrior custom in that amazing episode of one of the greatest cartoons ever made, Looney Tunes. Those were the days... And then came other good cartoons like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, the powerpuff girls, Ed Edd 'n Eddy, Dexter's Lab... yeah... but then all those shows and other good ones got replaced by what is now a compendium of crapfests you now find on Cartoon Network, augh!

The only real cheap traits I can find in Opera Elmer is that his priority and collisions are abyssmal, but aside from that, he's a very decent character.

I find a lot of me in DDR actually. We both custom sprite our own creations, which I've always grown to appreciate, and I have to say that he did a very nice job with all of his characters, despite having some of the worst collisions I've ever seen.

I decided to do this match with three characters. I was requested to do this with Misuzu, which is the first match.

The second match, I decide to use a long lost member of my team, Dink Smallwood. I'm trying to get back into using my other characters and not just Misuzu, so this was a good start. Dink's got a large arsenal of projectiles that make it easy to keep Opera Elmer away,... as long as he's not already close. Since Dink is too tall, most of his projectiles tend to fly right over Opera Elmer if he's too close, so it was important to keep him away, otherwise I have to launch the giant duck, but even THAT is difficult since I recently found out (the hard way) that there IS a way to avoid the attack, you need to hit the tiny bird before it goes off screen. When Elmer's too close, he sometimes hits the bird, making the attack fail completely. Dink's bad at close quarter combat, so it was really important to keep Elmer away as much as possible.

I think I'm gonna start using Dink Smallwood more often...

As for the last match, I decided to make this fight a true challenge by using Maxime. Maxime is by far #1 on my team in terms of having a low potential, so this made the fight very challenging. With little range to take advantage of, I had to think fast every moment Elmer was open for getting hit. The biggest problem I had was that Elmer's good at keeping distance in close combat, so getting close to him is nearly impossible.... unless.. Unless you use Maxime's forward reversal move, which makes him dash forward, allowing him to get close enough to get a combo in. I had to keep making big combos on Elmer to get my power up high enough to be able to use my supers, especially the Helicopter one since it's the only super Maxime has that deals any decent amounts of damage. It took me around 10 tries to beat Elmer with Maxime, 3 with Dink, and I bested Elmer on my first try with Misuzu.
