@fiaisguy Also, the DC had high density CDs for 1 GB storage per disc at 12x. The PS2 had DVD/CD at 24x CD and 4x DVDs up to dual-layer DVDs at 8.5 GBs per disc. This means faster CD games and much larger DVD games than the DC was capable of, I am sorry, but the DC was not technically better than the PS2.

@fiaisguy Anti aliasing is about the only thing the DC had over the PS2 if you want to talk about system specs. No, it couldn't manage 75 million polygons per second but it could pull about from 3 million to 16 million per second which is a bit more than the DC at 3 million to 7 million per second (claims vary for each). The DC had 8 MB of video RAM and 2 MB of sound RAM where the PS3 only had 4 MB of video RAM and no sound RAM, however the PS2 had double the system ram at 32 MB instead of 16 MB

The Dreamcast is basically a scaled down NAOMI. The NAOMI is awesome.

What would the world be like hadn't the dreamcast been canceled? Well it would sure be a better place than it is now. And we would see half life multiplayer on the dreamcast...

G-man sure can kick ass!

The Dreamcast version didn't play the best, however I was glad they "released" it. A better unreleased game is Propeller Arena. It was like Crazy Taxi meets Crimson Skies; it was ultimately canceled because of 9/11, but it was an excellent game and still should've saw the light of day outside of the internet. Definitely glad it was "released," too.

Do bad this is just a edited Soul Caliber commercial.

coming to a dreamcast near you.... NOT!!!!
@08brutlaga All that to say, yes Sega lost but the hardware on the Dreamcast was not inferior to the Ps2, if you get your facts right you would know that. If you dig a little further you will find out that the Dc graphics chip is one of the most effective ever made, in terms of processing, not speed, and it could do things the Ps2 could only dream of. And games were not the Dc problem as well, i would like to see Shenmue on the Ps2... The main reason the Dc failed was due to Sega´s bad rep.

@redfoxbennaton Dude, those are just numbers, who cares?
The Gamecube is more powerfull than the Ps2. And again, the Ps2 IS NOT capable of 60 million polys/sec. Those are theoretical numbers, and honestly in reality it doesnt even deliver 1/4 of that number. Just compare the games for crying out loud. The xbox didnt deliver 100 million polys as well, that was ALL marketing, because they knew people fell for that crap.
