I remember this song being played a lot on Radio Caroline circa 1966 or thereabouts, there were a lot of "protest songs " about in those days, "We Shall Overcome", "Eve Of Destruction"etc, etc, what made this one stand out, is that it seems such a happy song. It is great to be able to play & listen to it. The video suits this song perfectly, it's an absolute gem!

That bit where she twirls the golf club around is just amazing. I've only just noticed it. Wow! WHIZZ
-
Jolly, childish song with a real unexpected sinister twist at the end...
Great work.

I hope that Ninette is getting something for the commercial use of this song - she deserves it after all the years.
the woman in the video is not my aunt Ninette this is just some footage someone has put to the song which my aunt is singing when she was 15 and the song was written by my uncle Tony Hatch who composed the theme tunes for Neighbours, Crossroads, Emmerdale Farm and wrote many other songs including Downtown for Petula Clarke. There is a Facebook group about this song Push A Little Button so please join for more info. Thanks.

Hi Hayley,
As I Said To Hypnopomp a Few Day's ago, in Case You Missed it. I said It was Part of a Short Film Made by General Motors in 1956, to Highlight Detroit's Growing Prosperity. On Saturday Last Week. BBC2 had A Detroit Night, Car Manufacturing & Motown Music etc, and They Showed about 5 Seconds of the Original Film.
