There can be many meanings behind wearing armor... A soldier, a knight sworn to fealty, or the armor around the heart... the walls that we build around ourselves to hide our weaknesses, faults, and fears. Perhaps that armor is our experiences, which helps us to fight and do the impossible. There's no single meaning behind it, and that is what makes Utena stand out from the rest... Utena asks you to think and come to your own conclusions.
