Senior Philippine Terrorists Communist Arrested - VERY GOOD NEWS - May She Rot in Hell

METRO MANILA - Police and military intelligence agents arrested a senior member of the Philippine Terrorist Communist insurgent movement, army and rebel spokesmen confirmed on Saturday.

Elizabeth Principe, 56, a central committee member of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), was nabbed in a raid in a Manila suburb on November 28, said army spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Ernesto Torres.

"She has been a member of the CPP central committee since 1971, one of the Originals Terrorist," said Torres.

MANILA, Philippines -- PHILIPPINE economy expanded by a forecast-beating 7.3 percent in 2007, its fastest pace in 31 years, boosted by the services sector, the government said Thursday.

The economy was led by the robust services sector whose output grew 8.7 percent.

Industrial output increased 6.6 percent, while farm production rose 5.1 percent.

The economy expanded 7.4 percent in the fourth quarter from the previous year and was up 1.8 percent from the previous quarter.
