  • As an owner of a similar Baikal O/U shotgun, the guy I purchased the gun from (who is an experienced hunter) told me that the first thing one must imperatively do when buying a new Baikal, is to remove the excess oil/lubricant (Russians have the bad practice to bathe their shotguns in oil/lubricant/derusting, whatever), then wash off the acids from the barrel with very hot water (just water, no soap or detergent) and oil it yourself. This way the gun will outlive you ;)

  • @apmoy70

lol, as if russian oil is bad for a shotgun... good joke

  • @GunWebsites Would you recommend this for hunting bucks and pigs?

  • @TheSwitijs

no, but I suppose it would work fine

  • @apmoy70 idk if oil is the word you looking for. cosmolene? ive seen how much they put on thare mosin nagants....

  • @Nero619ful Here is around 600 Euros.

  • Dedicated trap and skeet guns do not have barrel selectors and always fire bottom first. Sporting and hunting guns have a barrel selector for the purpose if the game or clay bird is already fare away to begin with. Another reason why you always fire bottom barrel first is so the recoil goes stright into your sholder because the bottom barrel is inline with your sholder well the top barrel is above and the recoil from the top barrel causes more muzzle filp than the bottom barrel.

  • Its normally the other way around. You normaly always fire bottom barrel first with a modified choke and top barrel with an improved modified choke. Shotguns with duel tiggers the frount trigger always fires the bottom barrel, and if you own a old fixed choke gun then the bottom barrel is always 1/4 choke and the top is 1/2 choke so you always fired bottom barrel first and top barrel is the bird or rabbit is getting away.

  • Whats it worth?
