  • Much Respect.

Are you sampling into the MPC60, or just using it to sequence via midi on an S950?

Do you sample each part of the sepperately and assign it to a pad? Or do you some how sample the whole sample, and then asign different parts to each pads?

    Keep up the good work.

    Peace

  • it's a tedious process. i don't use the s950, i sample into the 60 directly from vinyl. i'll set the soft start & soft end and then truncate the two bar loop to free up sample memory ("delete after soft end", "delete before soft start"). next, you wanna sample 8, .1 second 'blanks'. these are your chops. then you go back to the main sample and set your zone for the first chop, copy to temp, and paste it to the end of the first 'blank' pad.

  • yes, i play guitar and bass. thanks for your watching.

  • @KickBack90sBeats oh, i didn't know, I forgot about that equipment list thing..

I still use the 60, amongst other samplers too... check me on soundcloud . com / mr_debauch to hear a bit of stuff I threw online for fun. peace!

  • @MrDebauch word is bond.. by the way.. I checked yo channel and I dont see yo MPC60 listed under yo equipment. If you by any chance dont use it anymore, would you be willing to sell it homie?

  • @KickBack90sBeats oh I know... I own an mpc 60 and 98% of my production is sample based... I was just commenting on that other dudes comment... hip hop wouldn't have died without sampling the moment it was created as dude suggested.... I dont think.

  • @MrDebauch aight then... take away all those classic LP's ever put out from 91-96... and replace every beat with a keyboard beat from scratch.... then they would sound like this crap nowadays... sampling is a pivotal part of hip hop... Sure people can play instruments to make hip hop beats... like The Roots... but then again sampling is an art form... and an essentially historic part of the creation of hip hop... with much respect to my man Kool Herc of course...

  • @qnzfinest65 funny, dj kool herc doesn't sample and he pretty much invented hip hop

  • better give the thing to me and cut the crap

  • ayo dubwiser! i really like your style and your machines a beast i work on a 2000 classic but i want a 60, especially 60II, i know the set up onscreen's a lot different and i was reading your comment on how you chop,

any other work related changes i'd have to adapt to if i find one and purchase it?

    much appreciated bro thanks

  • producers just mold the song like telling when there should be a bridge or intro....

  • hahaha..okay.
