This sounds like a blue-eyed soul singer doing a bad Chuck Jackson imitation. Not even close to sounding like a gospel trained soul/r&b singer of that era.
@phunkyjunction I'll end this bickering right now with TaintFunnyMcGee.I'll say once again what I said in my first comment a few days back. Great song, great group Ron
@TaintFunnyMcGee It's you that seem to believe you know everything about The Fury's & Jerome Evans with your comment that this is not them singing "Anything For You" You also say Brits crack you up....Why is that? is it because we deal in facts & not fantasy?
@phunkyjunction rontenn has described himself in comments elsewhere on youtube as being English so I assume he's a Brit living in Belgium. If not I don't know what he is other than somebody who wants me to think he's an expert on Jerome Evans.
@TaintFunnyMcGee Sounds exactly like Jerome Evans to me & to everyone else I guess except you! I know Proby's voice inside out & it's definitely not him singing here. Like it or not this is The Fury's!!! And if you say they cannot harmonize their way out of a paper bag then you need to think again.
@rontenn my sport is drag racing so the location of the ball is nothing to me, and I don't need proof I've got ears. That's no Jerome Evans singing lead and that next to nothing backup is no AA R&B group. Anybody who knows the first thing about singing R&B harmony will tell you the same thing.
@TaintFunnyMcGee Are you sure about this? The Fury's made lots of music not just this one track who YOU think is Proby. I'm not saying you're wrong but you have to come up with facts not just assumptions. Balls in your court!!
@TaintFunnyMcGee that's one fool mouth you got there!
