This History Channel Series was from the "Silent Service". It's three parts. This was from the second or third if I recall. I wish that someone would post the remainder of this episode which concludes with how the Tang was lost and what happened to the few survivors. O'Kane and others torture in Japanese POW camps and liberation by the atomic bomb. My grandfather died on the Tang. O'Kane won the congressional medal of honor. He mailed my grandmother holiday cards for years.

These guys personified what the Navy should be all about. Sail into harms way and aggressively attack the enemy . Fight and Kill the enemy. Do or die.
They were the best of the best - doing the most dangerous job in WWII.

I love the stories of Morton and O'kane. They were the best. What History Channel show is this clip from? I have to get it.
It was an hour long show about submarine warfare in the Pacific theater during World War II. Clicking on Properties, I can see that I converted the clip to MPEG back in 2002....with it being that long ago, I just can't remember the name of the program.
