Ok I'm scared of that nurse now. You're supposed to start at the center, and work your way out when cleaning a PICC line site. She not only started on the outer edge, but she dragged it repeated back over the site. She just contaminated that site...

PICC line dressing change 101- remove the dressing TOWARD the pt, not away like she did. And clean from the inside out- not outside in- which drags bacteria into the venous system. This video is NOT safe practice!

ahhhhhh unsterile!!! and putting that tegaderm on before the chlorhex is dry can cause skin burn.

Esta retirada do curativo filme transparente foi bruta hein! Até causou hiperemia! Se vc passar algodão umido ( com solução fisiológica ou salina ) por cima antes de remover não causa tanta agressão à pele.

I have had 3 picc lines before and i have had several dressing changes. They are not pleasant. I had mine clipped into a statlock.

Picc dressings are my absolute favorite! It may sound strange but I think they feel amazing :) lol It gets so itchy over the week that I cant wait for my skin to breathe and be itched! BUT ouch, ive never had mine stitched in like that.
