Keep in mind this was local news and "why things could have been so much worse," quickly addressed the immediate concern that locals would have about 2 choppers crashing in downtown Phoenix. Downtown is a very dense area and had these news choppers been half a block over in any direction, there almost certainly would have been additional fatalities and injuries. What's so wrong with remarking on that fact that it was very fortunate that no one on the ground was hurt?
