What strikes me odd about the English version is I don't believe the Yanks even did it, it may have been a Canadian dub, but then why did Susan Sheridan play Moominmamma without her British accent? And who in the U.S. even saw this? When did it air? What station? I was watching cartoons at the time here and don't remember this. Love the cartoons but I agree it is often lousy to cater to a country who aren't even viewing it. I'd have preferred UK accents, like the 70's Pippi TV show.
