The box is called CAJON and comes from spain.

In fact it comes first from Peru...
When it arrived to spain it received a few changes...now we have cajón peruano(from peru) and cajón flamenco(from spain)

cool thx for the info.. didn't know that.. where is the difference between the two cajons.. i only know the ypical you get in the musicstore which i suppose might be a mixture?!
