  • absolutely love it dude, such wicked looking fish. hoping mine will grow this big within the next year or so. good to know that they can draw blood with thier bite! also, that 3d background how thick is it and how wide is the tank in general? cheers.

  • @rsiconquest , Hi mate and thnx, trust me when I say yours will grow fast! I fed Togez half feeder fish and half superworms for a varied diet. But I dont feed him feeders anymore as he has gone off them also to lower his aggression towards his tankmates, pleco and ghostknife. So now his main diet is superworms now.

  • The Latex background is about 1.5 - 2 inches thick. It cost around $200 from my local aquarium store and I installed it myself saving about $80 instillation fee. Not hard if you are experienced with a silicone gun. The company that make that particular background has a website called universalhabitat. Google them and click their backgrounds range. Mine is the crevice model I believe, second from the bottom...

  • @rsiconquest Because Togez has grown so fast the tank is toooo small form him now ( 14' wide ) I really want to upgrade him to a 2 foot wide by 6 foot long soon... I wouldnt recommend anything smaller unfortunately...Hope this answers your questions dude..

    Cheers...

  • @ogcp4c lovely! mine is only 4 inches right now, but has easily grown an inch and a half in a month being fed mealworms crickets and grasshoppers. he is housed in a 6x2x2 so theres plenty of room for him to grow, just hoping he will get along with my monster pleco when he reaches a more intimidating size. i see togez has grown more since this video, how large is he now in inches? he still seems to turn comfortably in that tank and seems healthy and happy as. would love an updated vid!

  • @rsiconquest I wish I had started with a tank your size. And yeah Togez can turn but he has to tilt himself a bit which isnt ideal. If I had the money I would go out and get a new tank and stand right now, but money aint free right... Ive heard plecos are one of the most recommended tankmates for Saratogas so you should be fine. Feeder fish might make your more aggressive though.. Just measured Togez and he is 16 inches! I will do an update vid this weekend bro...

  • @ogcp4c your right about the money not being free its proven to be a costly hobby both financially and free time, although i love it. feeders aren't part of Sara's diet and i'm hoping never will be, made that mistake with my barra's, they consider sara as food which is why they are cordoned off to one half of the tank. i have a yellowbelly and silver perch in the tank growing with sara both quite abit smaller so far so good. i will post a vid soon when my tank is complete astecically.
