Joshua Earl Patrick Phillips is the paedophile who murdered his 8 year old neighbor and friend, Maddie Clifton in 1998. She was eventually found, under his bed, after 7 days, her panties were off her body, her shirt pushed under her neck, 9 stab wounds to her neck and chest and several baseball bat hits to this little girls head, it was obvious he killed this innocent child with extreme anger and rage. He even went out with the Jacksonville search party looking for her, knowing full well she was decomposing underneath his bed. What was never reported in the press was that Josh's father was a vile, evil man that threatened his wife with a gun on numerous occasions and was an unconvicted serial rapist to Missy. She endured nearly 20 years of abuse from Josh's father. He eventually got insanely drunk and killed himself on a lonely road in his truck, just a stones throw from the prison his son was incarcerated in. This, hundreds of miles from home. No-one knew why he was there in the 1st place. Many question why he did this just 9 months after his son's conviction. Within 7 days of his death, Missy got rid of all of her dead husband's clothes. Josh never loved his Dad. He, like his mother, were petrified of this obese bastard. (over 300lbs - over 6 foot 7 inches tall). He was a dominating person that had to be in control at all times. Joshua Phillips and his mother were purely puppets to him. He was an alcoholic that would punch holes in the walls if he couldn't get his own way.
The police found through intense investigation that within 15 minutes of Maddie's brutal murder, Joshua Phillips was viewing S&M hard core sex images on the internet. This was highlighted in court. Once arrested, 7 days later, the forensic dept found semen on Josh's pants. It's clear he was extremely sexually active during this time. Why was Maddie's panties removed? Why was her shirt pulled up to her shoulders when Police found her? Josh had a fixation with Maddie's sister and even broke into their home and stole a telephone and photo of Jessica who was in a ballerina pose. This was later found by Police. His mother, Missy Dunfee (her 'new' name') is also a very needy, manipulative individual that plays on the sympathy vote at every opportunity. "Poor me, Poor me". He'll NEVER get out no matter how much effort or money is spent on this killer. He's safely away from the public. Clemancy in Florida is just about unheard of. It's totally wishful thinking for anyone to believe Phillips will get a second chance. It'll never happen!
