This is one of my favorite Catholic movies. True, it's a made-for-TV miniseries; but it's very edifying and engaging. It always succeeds in drawing me into prayer and nurturing my desire to live a virtuous life. My favorite characters are Juanita's younger sister, Rebecca and especially the flambouyant, progressive, "liberated" aunt, Menche. I've seen the 5 VHS tape version. The first tape's plot is a little dull, but once you get to the 2nd tape, the movie maintains your attention.
