Everyday Buddy Holly baldyholly

Everyday was the flip side of Peggy Sue, which was Buddys second solo single(preceeded by Words of Love, Mailman Bring Me
No More Blues). It was also the first song to be released bearing the name of Charles Hardin as co-writer. The name was actually a pseudonym for Buddy, using his given first and middle names. This was due to contractural regulations with Cedarwood Publishing for whom he didnt have a songwriting contract and therefore had to disguise his identity! A very simple and beautiful song, featuring a celesta on the break, Everyday has became one of Buddys most well known songs and no doubt would have been a huge hit had it have been released as an A side.

@epiphone112689 You know what mate, Holly toured England in March 1958 and virtually single handedly started off The Mersey beat. His band line up, dress style, self penned hits and Electric sound were copied the Country over. Other than Elvis Presley, Buddy was the most dominant artist on the charts, at one time having three top twenty hits simultaneously. Its that legacy that is still with us. Plus having people like Paul McCartney say your a musical genius doesnt hurt either lol
