They "turned mushy" because they quit working out, not because of creatine.

@leemhayward Whats the difference from pure protein to weight gainers? sorry im 16 and have only been working out for about an year. Can i take creatine or am i still to young? iv had a couple of friends who took creatine but stopped working out for a while and their muscles turned all mushy.

I've got this covered in my video called: "Pre and Post Workout Nutrition"
Just search for it here on YouTube.

I'm not a big fan of weight gainers myself. I usually just stick to pure protein powders. Obviously use up what you have now, but make sure to get a pure protein powder in the future.

thanks for the info.... it helps a lot to me. what pre-training supplement do you recommend?
I went to GNC to get creatine and the guy working there said I could take this Mega Men Extreme Althlete because it has creatine. Would that be a substitute for the powder or buy the powder

Get the pure creatine powder. It's really cheap to buy but very effective. Check out my blog post about creatine at:

Hey lee great video btw. I want to lose a lot of body fat and also gain muscle size, but I also want to be defined. i am taking macimuscle promax diet for weight loss and after taking this I want to take creatine to increase my muscle size and still stay defined. Would uou say that that is a good idea?

@94shanen
You need to focus on gaining mass first, then worry about dieting down afterwards. You can't bulk up and cut up at the same time.
