Burmese poet Aung Way discusses the monks' protests in Burma, with scenes from the demonstrations in which he himself addresses the monks and people. Broadcast on Nov. 21, 2007 by Democratic Voice of Burma (Burmese language)

He says that while giving his speech, "the fighting peacock flag (a symbol of students who struggled for freedom) enhanced the courage of the people." He urges other artists, authors and poets to support the uprising, and to fight for freedom. In his belief, "a poet is a rival government."
