  • @CJFCarlsson Corroborative evidence only becomes confirmation bias... if one does not look at the opposing points as well.

People... 1) been mistaken for dead MANY times 2) have claimed to see Elvis - postmortem 3) see miracle men today

Our ignorance makes many things believable...

/watch?v=WKhQs2-g8EY <- Once people believe any given thing, it is easy for them to rationalize it. This is a separate issue as to whether a thing is true in the manner claimed and/or accepted.

  • @MyContext That is why we look for corroborative evidence, don't we, like similar testimonies, spread of christianity and prophecy corroborating the death and resurrection of Jesus. It is consistent as was pointed out by the apostles.

  • This is horrible with regard to reasoning. We know that testimony is UNRELIABLE. (Check it out yourself, I'm sure that some people would claim my memory is perfect, etc... Check it out... You might be surprised...) A truly dubious way to assess truth without additional material for review...

  • Thanks SO much for posting this! I had an inkling this is what was really going on. Going through a real 'test and prove' season right now, there is SO much deception in the Body right now...I've had to question EVERYTHING and felt I like Thomas but in a good way. Thank you!

  • People give Thomas such a bad rap for not believing that Christ had risen until he saw him. Read Luke 24:11...None of the apostles believed when both Marys had told them the good news. They also had to see the risen Messiah himself before they could believe.
