Is it hard for it to be put in a side-side comparison, how are we suppost to know you have both consols? When this way it seems exactly the same, exept if you look harder on side by side comparison you could notice the better ai and enviromental textures on ps3 because of blueray.

PS3 can't be used as an internet browser effectively. Typing on it is just a nightmare.
Thus, PS3 cannot be considered as your laptop.
Now, if you stick the GTX-280 inside a preowned desktop (with a big enough powersupply), it will last you for a long time. Later on, you just need to pick up another videocard for upgrade. Not the entire thing.
And typically, a good videocard costs around 150-200 bucks, like the 8800GT.
