Btw - great playing
-
Is that an Ash branded neck? Looks like an Ibanez - funny if it's not as We all remember the old " lawsuit" days!
-
Wow, you remind me of Frank Zappa 0.o
Nice tone man, and nice playing! But, how did you load impulses into garageband?
Sorry, im just getting the feel of recording and i wanna try impulses :/
-
basically you're just awesome. that tone is killer!
-
good player... bad guitar :)) ... try in that combination a guitar with individual select like Dan Armstrong super stratocaster where you can use any kind a pickup combination you want it from parallel to series... I really use this combination with 3 PAFs [single coils in humbuckers format and I can say that gives me wings ;) ]
-
very smooth creamy tone man! killer technique as well, BTW
@hillsmith - cheers. It is an ibanez neck indeed, from an S470DX, but with the locking nut removed.

@15viceandvirtues I use a plugin called LAConvolver. Impulses to load with it can be found all over the net 8)

@kordosoft the guitar is better than me, and actually has the Dan Armstrong super strat system

one question man are you using overdrive? distortion? reverb? what effects to achieve this sound?

@zapz2101 as per a previous comment: Ffor this recording I used my Ash Customworks "Catherine" guitar, into my AMT Electronics California Sound distortion pedal, into my Boss CE-5 chorus, into my iMac, running Garageband, and LAConvolver.
So just an excellent distortion, a chorus, and a cabinet simulation (a couple of 4x12s) and then some delay - and probably reverb as well.
