Final Fantasy XIII Main Theme and A.Y.A on Piano and Djembe

Here are 2 video game songs, one is the "menu theme" from Final Fantasy XIII and the other is A.Y.A, an AWESOME song from the game Parasite Eve. This is part of a long jam/messing around session that I've separated into 3 parts, the video after this is the one entitled "Jazz Piano and Djembe Hip Hop Jam," and I'm saying that because if I was a listener I'd probably be pissed that this one stopped where it did, lol. I'll post the 1st video soon as well.

To be honest, I think that short final fantasy song is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, and there is this part in A.Y.A at around 2:20 that is really amazing, and I think ironically it actually inspired my solo in our sanctuary ship cover at around the 6:05 mark too. It's so cool how music that you listen to just comes out in your solos spontaneously, and that's really why I think just listening to music is so important for playing.

i think in ff13, the music was really lacking and was nowhere near as good as the previous ones

@tailgail There were some gems like this theme, but yeah I'd agree with you. It seemed the composer was trying to make everything upbeat and technoish to match the linear, action-oriented gameplay, which isn't necessarily a bad thing (try putting other music to it like FFX's, feels weird to me). I liked Yaschas Massif, Determination, Blinded by Light, and Lightning's theme
