@popafan - there were spring floors in 1982, that was the first year I ever competed on one! But this routine in general puts most of the current gymnasts to shame anyway!
okay so Elena was doing some seriously difficult routines in 1982 to open and close with a full in was unheard of! Not to mention her middle pass which is what paralyzed Elena Muhkina. Her routines from this meet would still stand up today - with the exception of bars but only because the apparatus has changed.
I assume that in '82 the idea of spring-loaded floors was still in the discussion stage and not yet in use. If this is the case, she just put the entire field of 2011 Euro FX finalists to shame with that routine.
