Here is a short biography of Oscar Wilde that is found on the BBC TV mini-series disc. I watched it a few years ago. I thought it might be interesting to some viewers.

  • Bosie: Oscar Wilde's Yoko Ono.

  • The court case was a very bad idea, but Queensberry would otherwise probably have continued going after Wilde in nasty ways anyway. He should have left for France when he had the chance.

It's so sad he was ruined for being ahead of his time and writing beautiful things. :(

  • i kew that was Jude Law's voice

  • @qwerti666 Yeah, just think what he could have written in the early twentieth century.

  • Poor Oscar...going to court just for being gay...

  • @acmedressform Yes, it appears that it must be 1995 as the final scene at the memorial credits that date. Perhaps there are several short bios of Wilde around.

  • @PoliticalPars it also says the title is Oscar Wilde Himself, whereas if you look at the opening credits, the documentaries actual title is "The Life and Loves of Oscar Wilde".

  • @acmedressform It is 1985 according to the video.

  • they are such ponces, very overrated I think.
