The Boney M show feat Bobby Farrell, Nice, 2007

While on holiday in Nice, France i stumbled upon a street festival that featured the dazzling spectacular of the 'legendary' Boney M show featuring 'original singer' Bobby Farrell.

This show was a trip, the guy was having a ball and didn't want to come off the stage, even when the host came on to drag him off.

I never paid attention to Boney M previously, but after a little research it turns out that practically none of the vocals were performed by the people you see on the record sleeves or live PA's, but by the german producer. Turns out ironically that the same dude was behind Milli Vanilli 10 years later, where they were famously busted and shamed.

BTW, apologies for the dodgy clips, but was better than nothing, hope u enjoy!!

Bobby never sang the songs for Boney M. He was just hired because his dancing was so special.

Producer Frank Farian sang on all the records.

wow I was here too - what a great show this turned out to be - loved all the cultural stuff later on. It was a great free night. The crowd took over the whole street and totally blocked traffic! Fantastic.

Bobby Farrel has bad vocals now due to probaly his drugs he takes :).
