Hello, I am a member of a team that has been writing scripts for "genuinescorruption", who was born blind, to play video games. From this I got the idea to try a side project of recording myself defeating the mini-bosses/bosses of Twilight Princess blindfolded. This is the Gamecube version played on the Nintendo Wii. Thanks to GsC for converting the recordings to video format.

Here is an image of me taken while playing: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/TurquoiseStar/Me_Blindfold.png

This is the boss of Snowpeak Ruins.

You might have seen this boss as the featured video on his channel as proof of his blindness. Overall, he performed better than I did on this boss, so he has the honour of writing the strategy for it!

Strategy written by Genuinescorruption. The strategy employed in this video may be slightly different than that described here.

As the fight starts, L-Target the mass and wait for the sound of her movement to become louder. It will increase in volume before making contact with you. As it nears its loudest volume, that is the time to throw the ball and chain. This will become more difficult with each hit, but keep doing it until stage two begins.

With regards to stage two, I do not have a surefire way to escape the circle of ice blocks. The best thing to do is to try and destroy at least one before they begin falling. Hold down the button assigned to the ball and chain. Hold down on your joystick (so link looks upward) for several seconds, let go, tap up slightly and release the button. With any luck, the ball will strike one of the blocks, insuring a potential escape.

Next, press A to put the ball away, and then just run around haphazardly. I have yet to find a logical strategy for dodging all of the blocks; however if you just keep moving, you can usually avoid 50 75 percent of them.

After they all have landed, you will hear the sound of them closing in on you in a circle. Turn to face this sound, and try to throw the ball again. Hopefully youll destroy at least one more. The best case scenario at this point is that you have 2 or 3 destroyed. Now attempt to run through the opening youve created.

When Blizzeta lands, you will hear two thud sounds. If link is hit on the second thud, then you will be unable to score a hit; however, if he is hit on the first, you will slide to safety before the second; allowing you *usually* a clear shot at her.

The final step is to turn to face the direction in which you heard the second thud, target her, and throw the ball. You will hear a fairly loud sound resembling what you might hear if you kicked a snow structure causing it to break up. If you do not hear this, but rather a quieter ice breaking sound, then you likely missed and probably broke more of the icicles. If this happens, just run around and wait for her to land again. It will be easier to escape the circle next time, since there are now fewer blocks in the room.

After each successful hit, Blizzeta will retreat and recreate the 10 ice blocks that make up the circle. After her odd sounding grown, you can start the process over. It takes three successful hits to end the battle.

  • this boss is horrifying

  • Funniest way to get a heart container. Ever.

  • NOT TAKE MIRROR (you saw some one saying that a mile away)

  • "Overall, he performed better than I did on this boss,"

Chock that up to practice. I battled this boss at least a hundred times, where this was only your second time. Let me tell you, you did a lot better than I did on my second try; I'm sure I didn't even make it to stage two. Considering the situation, this fight was good.

  • When you're trying to avoid the ice blocks, try looking at their reflection on the... hehehe. The problem of playing blind is that you eventually will crash into the wall.

  • fav boss
