This video is nothing special, it's about my M-65 Field Jacket and how I've got it setup.

  • I bought one this week and wore it for the first time yesterday.. I've never known a coat like it.. It's so warm..the hood is excellent once adjusted..and it's sooooo cool.. ;) it even looks great with the fishtail tied round the thighs..a design classic...love it

  • @br0adcaster1 I want to thank you for your kind comment. I've had this one for yrs and put it thru hell, where as other newer ones have already bit the dust....LOL. These never seem to go out of style for some reason. :-} Take Care :-))

  • Nice video, I've got an M-65 in the more common 4 Color Woodland Camouflage Pattern with the polyester lining. I've got that hood too, but I found it was big enough to fit a PASGT helmet, let alone my head. It was so big I stopped wearing it. It can be tricky to attach also.

  • @Quadmachine0 Thanks for the kind comment. Your right about it being big, I never noticed (I guess I've got a big head.......ROFL). I just adjust the hell out of the cords and scrunch the fur close to my face, that leaves a dead air space between it and my head.....oh so warm then. Your right about attaching it, it is fun.....not.......LOL. Take Care :-))

  • @SurviveN2 Could you make a video on how you attach yours to your jacket? I've tried and think I got it right as per the tags instructions, but I want to see how others go about it. Thanks.

  • @Quadmachine0 Sure I can make a video showing how I've got it attached, thing is, I have a few other projects on the burner and a couple in the works before I can get to it. I might not make it until the first of next wk. I will not forget you. Take Care :-))

  • @wxpm I've had this one since dirt was invented. The only problem is that the (WWII) liner is starting to get old and has a few small holes in the nylon portion. I have worked as a construction worker during very cold conditions and have stayed warm in this jacket the way I have it set up. Yea, I guess you could say it's hard wearing and it's warm too....I'm still here.....LOL. Thanks for your kind comments. Take Care :-))

  • i`ve heard about these m65 jackets but never seen one up close , they look very warm and hardwearing

  • @RembiszClan I'm glad you found this video enjoyable and/or helpful. Take Care :-))

  • If I remember right (I think I've had it for more than a decade now), I believe it was a Army/Nave Surplus store. I just ck'd a Surplus store I buy from on line and they have a new one for $8.95. You can get it at Allegheny Surplus Outlet on line. Here is their #: SKU 056 and here is the NSN # 8415-00-782-3004. I hope that helps.
