it happened because there was a man upstairs. see, to creat a reflection of the guy, the attathed a CLONE of him underneth the origonal. the guy ran upstairs, and the lower half followed... thus your 'upside down guard' is just the developers[Konami] saving space because it takes ALOT of space to make a real reflection.
