Goa at New Year 2007-2008

On the beach at Calangute, Goa for New Year 2007-2008. People from all over India holiday here at this time of year. Very few 'whitey-whites' on the beach other than us for them to stare at :) Heather was calling the place Calagante as a riff on Alicante.

Wednesday day market in Anjuna from the back of an auto rickshaw, then a sweep through the Saturday night market in Arpora

Cocktails in hand the sky lit up over Calangute, Goa. Oh, it must be midnight? Well it was there, but wouldn't be for another few hours yet back home ;) mad wha?

We saw some Dolphins canoodleing and the picturesque and well hidden Butterfly Beach. But the battery was dying on the camera and the memory card was getting full, so this was all I got :(

haha...the reason why they stare is because they hardly see any foreigners in India..

its the same in china..they hardly ever see any indians..when i visited china, they actually asked us to be in their photographs!
