Host Alicia Callanan Mandigo talks with John Bricout, Ph.D. from UCF's College of Health and Public Affairs about new research possibilities in the field of social work. Research topics discussed are services for the public good like voting and senior centers and what changes can be implemented to improve the well-being of disadvantaged people. Central Florida presents unique research opportunities due to its newness as a community and its diversity. Another area of research discussed is telework or telecommuting in response to rising gas prices and how to get companies to be less resistant to it by understanding employers' perspectives. (2008)
