Learn how to make "cake pops"... cupcakes on a stick that look like lollipops and taste like manna from heaven. Join Finnish brothers Salomon, Noah, & Toivo as they walk you through the steps to these easy and fun treats.
Cake Pops
1 box cake mix any flavour (cook as directed on box for 13 X 9 cake)
1 can frosting (16 oz.) (We like Cream Cheese or Vanilla)
1 package chocolate bark (regular or white chocolate..we use Finnish Fazer Dark Chocolate or 1 package of Chocolate Chips)
wax paper
1. After cake is cooked and cooled completely, crumble into large bowl.
2. Mix thoroughly with 1 can frosting.
3. Roll mixture into quarter size balls and lay on cookie sheet. (Should make about 40. I use a tablespoon and hand roll them, but you can use a mini ice cream scooper)
4. Chill for several hours. (You can speed this up by putting in the freezer.)
5. Melt chocolate in microwave.
6. Roll balls in chocolate and lay on wax paper until firm. (Use a spoon to dip and roll in chocolate and then tap off extra.)
7. When hardened, stick into a Bamboo Skewer or Lollipop Stick (We poke sticks into styrofoam for easy placement which is pretty like a flower arrangement)
