its not a trademark thing, lots of people do it, but its just called open hand technique. some say its a lot easier, i can see why, but ive yet to perfect it. haha

it was a bad habbit that i developed abooout 4 years ago wen i started playing, but i never crossed my arms between the hi-hat and the snare i always kep em straight but i play just fine, its just kind of a trade mark for me...
