Track Machines spend most of their llfe waiting in sidings and not doing much. For those who like track machines it is interesting to watch one being turned, for those who like high speed non stop thrills they're boring. Each to their own...

The first machine is a ballast regulator which makes the ballast a nice and even layer with the correct angle falloff outside the sleepers. The second machine is a ballast tamper which pushes the ballast together under the sleepers to make a firm base.
