The short chapter lengths are for a Gimmick. There is a 16 byte code at the end - I won't spoil it. As for the content, as someone who knows the subject matter quite well I had the exact opposite experience, it took me months to finish on account of leaving it so many times, it is incredibly hard to read if you know the subject matter because most of what brown writes is complete nonsense. Like all of Brown's works they are only entertaining if you are not well educated in the subject matter.
