Go for agility!! It's a blast for both you and the dogs, and because it's dependent on a great connection between you, it makes even the time training, a quality time for both person and dog.
Hi, I have a couple of Kerries, the female could probably herd, I think the male would struggle to control his prey drive enough to do it. I was really just wondering because I like to try new things with them all the time to challenge them.
Criteria for a good herding kerry would be one that obeyed voice and body language commands a lot better than this...but training is a way to begin. Enough confidence to do the job, not too headstrong to listen...guess that would apply to any herding dog.
