Splendor Solis

Splendor Solis ("The Splendour of the Sun") is a well-known colorful alchemical manuscript. The earliest version, written in Central German, is dated 1532-1535 and is housed at the Prussian State Museum in Berlin. It is illuminated on vellum, with decorative borders like a book of hours, beautifully painted and heightened with gold. The later copies in London, Kassel, Paris and Nuremberg are equally fine. In all twenty copies exist worldwide. In 1989, pencil prodigy Laurie Lipton was commissioned by Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica to do a series of drawings based on this legendary alchemical work. Here some of her works cohexist together with the original version.

@tugasub I know what is the right order, but it doesn't matter in this case because I don't want to transfer the Great Work on youtube in a 2:50 minutes video. :-) I repeat pages because, together with the original manuscript, I included also some pages from Laurie Lipton's works. Just for an artistic purpose. Thank you for your comment.
