Solar 2 will be New York City's first carbon-neutral building, generating more energy than it uses in the course of a year. It will also be an icon for sustainable/green design strategies with spaces that will serve as exhibits, classrooms and cultural space. Take responsibility for tomorrow. Take action today! • We don't use the type of geothermal you describe. I invite you to visit the WaterFurnace channel. WaterFurnace uses the clean, renewable energy just 5 ft. below our feet. It's available everywhere and is currently in use in all 50 states and all over the world. We're currently installed everywhere from Buckingham Palace, to the Beijing Olympics, to Darrel Waltrip's house. Geothermal is even used by both George Bush and Al Gore.

Watch our video, The Convenient Truth. You'll like what you find.

  • WaterFurnace, not all geothermal energy is renewable and hot rock outcrops arent found all over the world.

And less dependance on oil? how much oil is required for exploration, testing and construction of a geothermal plant? I bet your someone who has a carbon neutral sticker on their car. In case you dont know theres oil in that sticker, and CO2 was produced when that sticker was made!!

  • What a load of jizz

  • cool!

  • Rockin! Keep it up Solar friends. Thanks.

  • Great idea - can't wait till it's up and running - I'm there!

  • WaterFurnace Channel: Check out what the EPA called the "most energy efficient, environmentally clean, and cost-effective" systems available. Geothermal heat pumps burn no fossil fuels, are 5 times more efficient than gas furnaces, and reduce utility bills up to 70%.

It's equal to planting 750 trees or taking 2 cars off the road...forever. If 10% of California goes geo, the energy saved equals the output of 9 power plants! Geo could have a huge impact on the environment and dependence on oil.

  • Fabulous! I can't wait...

  • kool!

  • Nice presentation, very pursuasive.
