WaterFurnace, not all geothermal energy is renewable and hot rock outcrops arent found all over the world.
And less dependance on oil? how much oil is required for exploration, testing and construction of a geothermal plant? I bet your someone who has a carbon neutral sticker on their car. In case you dont know theres oil in that sticker, and CO2 was produced when that sticker was made!!
