Programming Patterns on the MachineDrum

This is how you program patterns on both the Elektron MachineDrum SPS-1 and SPS-1UW. It so easy! This is an example of the realtime step-sequencing. Hit play, hit record, choose the drum, enter the desired sequence, change drum sound, enter desired sequence. Voila! Drum beats. Near the end you can see how you can "play" the patterns. Hold the desired bank button, hit the pattern, the beat automatically switches over to the next pattern when the measure is done. More tutorials on the way!

Which one should be better? the Elektron or the Spectalys drum?

The Elektron wins hands down in popularity and ease of use. It sounds really good too.

Nothing sounds better than the Spectralis, but its interface leaves many users baffled.

The machinedrum looks ace. Fun to play with and i'm getting one thats all there is to it. I just need to rob a few old grannies first so i can get the money together
