slow air i learned off the great At First Light album by John Mcsherry and Michael McGoldrick. John Mcsherry was nice enough to help me improve it when i met him in Belfast.

my piping is by no means perfect. i lose the octave in a few places and at one point i had to adjust my arm and managed to cut off my flow of air altogether. someday ill put up a better version.

  • you should post another video of this with the drones turned on. the drones really give this song that haunting quality.

  • i'd love to but they don' work at the moment. someday though.

  • Nice playing mate.

Just a pity the drones were off

  • not as much of a pity as you'd think. you should hear me playing when i turn them on.

    thanks

  • What kinda chanter is that mate. Who made and what else sounds very nice.

  • my chanter and reed were made by John Mitchell of Bishopstown Co. Cork. they are a fantasic set but the reed has been better.
