Atelier de Kijafa, a bike shop in Osaka Japan, made a wing section tube for the Ironman Triathlon bike. The shape is similar to NACA0024. The chord length is 100 mm. The wing thickness is 35 mm. I compared it in a wind tunnel with a round tube with the same diameter. I visualized the airflow around it blowing at the speed of 3.43 and 5.38 m/sec in a wind tunnel. The air speed 5.38 m/sec, which is equal to 19.4 km/h or 12.0 mile/h, is too slow for ironman triathlon race but fast enought to observe airflow. The airflow around the wing section tube is very smooth while Karman vortex street causing drag can be seen behind the round tube. This wing section tube will be advantageous to triathletes at every level.

大阪の自転車工房アトリエ ドゥ キャファがアイアンマン トライアスロン自転車用に翼型パイプを製作した。その形状はNACA0024と相似形で、翼弦長は100mm、翼厚は35mmである。風洞で翼断面パイプと同じ直径の丸パ­イプを比較した。風洞において風速3.43、5.38 m/secでそれらの周りを流れる空気を可視化した。風速5.38 m/secは時速 19.4kmもしくは12.0 mile/hに相当しアイアンマン トライアスロンのスピードとしては遅すぎるが空気の流れを観察するには十分である。翼型パイプの周りの流れはとてもなめらかなのに対し、丸パイプの風下には空気抵抗を発生­するカルマン渦列が観察できる。翼型パイプはあらゆるレベルのトライアスリートにとって有利である。
