Waiting to Begin Again (Chapter 42)

hey guys, sorry, my paper took way longer than I thought it would.

Joe's hair: personally I liked the curly better, but it's growing on me.
Nick's solo: they keep saying they're not breaking up but I feel it. it's gonna happen if not now soon. I feel like maybe this is a test run to see if solo things work out or whatever. but whatever makes them happy haha.

"So spill."
"It's nothing. It's just I have a weird feeling about my boyfriend. Something's wrong."
"Why? What happened?"
"Well, I hadn't talked to him in days, so I called him just now. He sounded out of breath, and he said he was working out, which he doesn't normally do. He said he's been busy cause his parents made him get a job and because he's working out to join the football team next year, his dad's idea. But Tyler has never been one to take orders from, listen to, or even have a real conversation with his parents. They've been after him to work harder in school, do more activities, even get a job for years now, but he never listened. They'd ground him, take away his car, stop giving him money, everything, but it never stopped him and he always found a way around it. He didn't even take orders from them to stay grounded, he'd just leave anyway. So no way he'd be forced into getting a job. And he is definitely not the kind of kid who would play football. He hates the jocks. And then when I said I missed him, he just said 'yeah me too' and then he hung up before I even finishing saying bye."
"Look, Hayley, long distance relationships can be hard, but the worst thing you can do is jump to conclusions and make up stories in your head. Cause it could be nothing," Alex said, and we all just kind of looked at him shocked. "What? Oh I'm normal again. Sugar goes through me fast."
"Interesting," Jason said.
"Alex is right though," Mike said to me. "When you're this far apart, things can get misinterpreted and can cause a lot of unnecessary pain. I'm not saying necessarily that you're unjustified or whatever, but it's probably better to talk it out and try to stay level headed."
"And whatever's meant to happen will happen," Andy added in.
"Aw thanks guys," I said.
"So you think you're gonna be okay?"
"Yeah, thanks."
Jordin walked in. "No fair. No one invited me to this party." Did I mention how amazing Jordin is? She knows how to chill and just think but also to talk when it's needed, and she could always tell which I needed. She's like a big sister in that way. It's really thanks to the Jonases that I got to know these guys as well as the boys' band members because they'd drag me to hang out with all these people. Yes, I am big enough to admit it. The Jonases made me these friends, and I'm thankful for it. "I guess you won't want my food then..." she held up bags of chips and salsa.
"Food?!" all the guys shouted.
"Wow, now that's the reaction of a bunch of guys," Jordin laughed.
"I wonder why?" Andy joked, looking around.
"So can I join?"
"By all means," I said.
So we all watched the concert in that dressing room eating chips and salsa, and I actually had a really good time, forgetting about Tyler and the photo scandal. Just what I needed.

{Nick's P.O.V.}
The next day we had to get to the arena early for some interviews. But then we had some down time before soundcheck, so we were playing ping pong with Honor Society. At the moment, it was Joe vs. Jason. The rest of us were sitting around watching. I went to get a drink. As I walked back, I saw Cass carrying some boxes, but no Hayley. I nodded at him and returned to the guys. "Where's Hayley?" I asked the others.

where is Hayley? sorry this chapter was kinda filler and the end is lame. It'll get better again I promise.

As for honor society: nope. I REALLY wanted to, but I had a dance to go to, and I couldn'tjust bail on my date, although I thought about it...

But that's not the point.
